Thunga Dispensary

Thunga Dispensary is a clinic set up by the Thunga Tea Estate. The aim of the clinic is to provide treatment to the people who work in this estate as well as the relatives of the people who work. Due to the existing relationship between the community and the estate, even those who do not work at the hospital receive care.

Although this is an estate clinic it receives medical support from Thyolo Hospital.

At the clinic, there are only OPD services and all those in need of intensive care are referred to Thyolo Hospital. In addition, some services provided by family planning services, HIV and ART services, and pregnant women are treated at the clinic if they do not have the need for surgery. All women who need surgery are referred to Thyolo hospital

The staff present are Medical Assistant, Nurse, and Health Surveillance Assistant.

Thunga Clinic is located 14 km from Thyolo Hospital in Bvumbwe Tradition Authority. It serves at least 7044 people who are working and those from around the clinic.
