Thukuta Health Post

Thukuta Health Post is a hospital located in the Nsabwe chiefdom.

The health post is located at a distance of 76 km from Thyolo hospital. It provides support to at least 4729 people from the area around the facility.

At this health post, there are a few employees who are Health Surveillance Assistants. There is no Medical Assistant or nurse on this health post.

Health Surveillance Assistants are specialized in community hygiene activities around the hospital as well as providing immunization and treatment for children under the age of five such as malaria, diarrhea, fast breathing, red-eye, and providing family planning services to women.

When everyone is sick, they go to the nearest Gombe health center for treatment. Most of them are Mozambican nationals because the region borders the country of Mozambique.
